Tungsten Heavy Alloy
Inquiry NowProduct Description
Tungsten Heavy Alloy (WHA) is a high-density composite material primarily composed of tungsten (typically 85-97%) with small amounts of nickel, iron, or copper as binding agents. (W-Ni-Fe Alloy or W-Ni-Cu Alloy). This alloy offers an exceptional combination of high density, superior strength, excellent machinability, and outstanding corrosion resistance. Due to its remarkable density and mechanical properties, Tungsten Heavy Alloy is widely used in aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial applications where weight, durability, and radiation shielding are critical.
Key Features
- High Density – Approximately 50% denser than lead, ideal for weight-sensitive applications.
- Superior Strength & Hardness – Provides excellent wear resistance and durability.
- Good Machinability – Easier to shape and process compared to pure tungsten.
- Radiation Absorption – Effective in shielding applications for medical and nuclear industries.
- High-Temperature Stability – Withstands extreme heat without deformation.
- Corrosion & Erosion Resistance – Performs well in harsh environments.
- Non-Toxic & Environmentally Friendly – A safer alternative to lead-based materials.
