Product Description

General Description:

Material: Ceramic Alumina tubes and rods are ceramic products made from high-purity alumina (aluminium oxide) raw material (95% to 99.8% alumina content). This ensures excellent chemical resistance, high thermal conductivity, and good electrical insulation properties. Alumina tubes and rods are commonly used in high-temperature applications, corrosive environments, and as insulators in electrical systems.

Manufacturing Process: Alumina tubes and rods are typically produced through a process called extrusion or isostatic pressing. In the extrusion method, alumina powder mixed with binders is forced through a die to form the desired shape. Isostatic pressing involves compressing alumina powder in a flexible mold using fluid pressure to achieve the desired shape. Subsequently they can undergo precision machining up to a high degree of tolerance.

Dimensions: Alumina tubes are hollow cylindrical structures with varying inner and outer diameters, wall thicknesses, and lengths. Alumina rods, on the other hand, are solid cylindrical structures with uniform diameters and lengths.

We can supply a wide range and different sizes (diameter, thickness and length) of Alumina tubes in a single bore, double bore, multiple bore, open/close ended and alumina rods for your specific requirements to suit a range of applications. We can also customise Alumina parts for high temperature applications according to size and specific design.

Alumina tubes and rods can be customized with features like flanges, grooves, or threads to suit specific application requirements.

It’s important to note that the specific properties and dimensions of alumina tubes and rods can vary based on the manufacturer and the intended application. Therefore, it’s advisable to consult the M-Kube team for detailed specifications and recommendations based on your specific needs.
